A Typical Day At Summer Camp
Horse Camp (9am-3pm)

Our Camp day starts with staff, horse, and camper introductions. Then we have a short horse safety talk that includes a how to safely walk around the horses demo. Campers are assigned a horse for the week.

We groom and tack the horses as a group.
​

Riding/Craft stations. We will split into 2 groups. One group will ride while the other group does a craft and/or unmounted lesson.
​

Groups will work together to untack and care for the horses.
​

Feed horses lunch and we eat lunch
​

Afternoons will be an intensive study of horse care/management and our End Of Camp Week Show

Monday : Horse Parts and Bathing​
Campers will dive into learning the basic anatomy of a horse, focusing on key body parts and their functions. They'll also get hands-on experience giving the horses a refreshing bath, a fun and interactive way to connect with the animals.
​
Tuesday : Feeding Horses and Stall Cleaning
Campers will learn about horse nutrition, including the different types of feed and supplements horses need to stay healthy. They'll also enjoy setting up a tase test for the horses to explore their preferences. In addition, they'll practice essential barn care skills, including how to clean and prepare stalls.
​
Wednesday : Saddle Parts and Bareback Riding
Campers will explore the parts of a saddle, learning how each piece contributes to the horse's comfort and the rider's safety. The day will also include a special session on bareback riding, giving campers a chance to experience riding without a saddle and develop balance and connection with the horse.

​Thursday : End Of Camp Horse Show
The final afternoon of camp is a celebration of all the campers have accomplished! Friends and family are invited to attend our End Of Camp Show, where campers will showcase the riding skills they've learned throughout the week. We'll also display an art gallery featuring the campers' creative projects, along with ribbons and certificates they've earned. For those unable to attend in person, the event will be streamed live on Facebook so everyone can join in the fun and celebrate the campers' achievements!
Barnyard Camp (9am-3pm)

Horse 101- Campers will dive into the essentials of horse care and management, gaining a well-rounded understanding of what it takes to care for these amazing animals.

Afternoon Goat Shenanigans

Monday : Goat Intros, Goat Yoga, and Goat Selections​
Campers will start the week by getting to know the goats and learning about their unique personalities. They'll enjoy a fun and relaxing goat yoga session, followed by an exciting activity where each camper and their partner will choose a goat to care for and work with throughout the week.
​
Tuesday : Milking and Leash Training
Campers will learn how to milk a goat, practicing this traditional farm skill in a hands-on session. They'll also begin leash training their chosen goat, building trust and teaching the goats to walk alongside them confidently.
​
Wednesday : Goat Obstacle Training
It's time to get creative as campers work with their goats to teach them how to navigate an obstacle course! This activity helps build teamwork between campers and their goats while preparing for the big event. The Goat Obstacle Course Challenge will be held on Thursday morning. (The Goat Obstacle Course Challenge is a camper only event.)
