Your first riding lesson...

Breathe deeply as you enter the barn for your child's first riding lesson. Smell the sweet smell of hay and horses. Be sure to peek in the stalls to visit with the horses as they happily munch away on their hay. Our arena sits right behind the barn. Come on in! Our experienced instructor and horse are waiting for you.

Have a seat in our viewing area and watch your child's face light up with joy as they learn how to groom and saddle their patient lesson horse. Off they go to the mounting block, your child's confidence grows as they begin to master asking the horse to move forward, turn, and stop. After the lesson, your child will delight in feeding their new horse friend a special treat. You are welcome to bring carrots, apples, or peppermints.

Any questions? Just ask! Our instructors will help you along every step of your child's riding journey.

We look forward to meeting you soon!

LESSON AVAILABILITY

We are often booked up several months in advance for Private and Rainbow Rider Early Horsemanship Lessons that are not being booked by the Semester. If you are looking for weekly lessons that are at the same day/time each week, we highly recommend joining the Semester Group Lessons. This will often be the quickest way to join our lesson program and be guaranteed weekly lessons at the most sought after times. Please contact us if you'd like to use a gift certificate that is good for private lessons towards a semester.

"Thank you for teaching my son a sense of horsemanship, a constructive attitude toward horses, an ability to relate to horses, and a love of horses and riding. Those things will stay with him forever, wherever and whenever he has the opportunity to ride in the future. And I have never experienced a more constructive place for him to do so.
-Erik T.
"I took my niece and nephews there for the group riding lesson and we had an amazing time. Curtis taught us how to groom, saddle up, place a bit in correctly, how to mount and dismount, and so much more. We will most certainly be back. Great fun!
-Missy M.
"My seven year old just had her first lesson. The instructor was wonderful...she had a great time and learned a lot in just half an hour! We will be returning!
-Ashlee N.
"Me, my cousin, and my 61 year old mother went in for a lesson today. Owner/Instructor was so down to earth and informative. Answered all of our questions and told us how to get our horses to respond well to us as individuals. I will absolutely be going back!
