Blue Heron Riding Academy is owned by husband and wife team, Curtis and Jill Ingram. Blue Heron Riding Academy is located on 17 beautiful acres in Chandler, IN.

In 2010, Jill moved her successful lesson program from St. Louis, MO to Chandler, IN. Jill has 20+ years of teaching experience. In 2007, Jill achieved National Certification with the American Riding Instructors Association (ARIA). She is one of only six certified instructors in Indiana and has been named as one of the "Top 50 Instructors in America". Over the years, ARIA has named several of Jill's lesson horses as "Outstanding School Horse of the Year". Jill has also taught a student ARIA named as "Student of the Year". Several of Jill's students have gone on to have careers in the horse industry, including teaching, teaching at a therapeutic riding center, and working for Purina Animal Research. Jill is also very proud of her numerous students who have competed on College Equestrian Teams.

Curtis joined Blue Heron Riding Academy in 2014. Curtis has an extensive Horse Management background from his Equine Studies at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. Curtis is a member of the Certified Horsemanship Association and is currently working on his certification with the CHA.

Blue Heron Riding Academy has provided Chandler and the surrounding area with unique opportunities and experiences with horses. In 2017, Curtis and Jill used their 50+ combined years of horse experience to develop the "Learning Levels Program", a progression of horsemanship skills unlike any other program!
